Best girths - new techy ones or stud girths?

I am looking to find recommendations on girths for showjumping!

I am not a fan of just plain stud girths as they are bulky and no doubt uncomfortable in heat as I have found with my horse.

I would love a stubben equi-soft but is there anything else out there that is worth it instead?

I have seen Fairfax but they really are too expensive!

Bite the bullet and get the Stubben equi soft! It's great x

Prolite do a synthetic version of the Fairfax and they are fab! £89, so much cheaper too.

If you are wearing studs to jump and jumping a height where there is a risk the horse will catch himself on the belly as he tucks up you are going to need a stud girth of one form or another to protect him. There are options including fleece lined if needed to make them more comfortable. But nothing puts a horse off tucking up neatly like stabbing himself as he does it!

If you are not wearing studs - why use a stud girth?
