We're based near Newbury and finally have our own lorry (YAY!)

Does anyone on here live within an hour or so and know of any good hacks/rides nearby? Happy to pay for access to land but we like to avoid roads where possible

We're looking forward to doing some exploring!

Salisbury Plain. I would park opposite the water tower in Tilshead and go from there. Down to Chitterne, along almost as far as Shrewton and then back round would be a good ride. Have fun! I would also say the Ridgeway is good but work out a circular ride off of it. Parking is easy on the hill above West Ilsley. Can get busy with walkers and bikes though.

Or Bramshill, it's near Yateley and it's lovely! You could be gone for hours, I believe you need a permit, though I admit to hacking there and never buying one (!). There are also some gallops nearby that go in an oval which I know are very popular.

Lucky you!

Watership down ride (in the BHS circular ride book). 10 mins south of Newbury at Kingsclere.

We have some lovely hacking from Whitchurch (due south of you on A34), which I'd be happy to show you.
If you'd like to meet up, PM me.
