Plan on purchasing a hat cam for my instructor to wear during our lessons. What would you recommend? Also what would you recommend software wise for grabbing stillshots from videos at a good quality? Any pics.would be great!

depends on your budget. If money isnt an issue then the GoPro is the best.

However if you arent made of money then the Drift basic or HD models are an excellent alternative (and what i have, see my other thread for videos taken with it).

I have a contour roam 2 head cam. its very good, shoots for hours and really clear quality. i use wondershare as the vid editor. its simple and quick.
the roam needed a special clip to fit to a band on my hat. the seem to be designed for snow boarders etc, not equestrian.

this is one of my videos its downloaded to youtube at a lower quality than it was shot in because my broadband connection takes 20mins to upload.

great to watch afterwards

Quality is fab, really enjoyed the video, off to Google how much it is. Can you take stills from wondershare?
