Looking for recommendations folk - need high viz and reflective dog coats for the Grots and the Lil'dog. Waterproof would just be a bonus.

Our daily lane walks are now in the dark and I want the pooches to be as visible as possible. No footpaths and the verges aren't all that flat.

Any suggestions?

Mrs Spaniel and Mrs Collie have one each of these collars, they are super bright and I can see them across a pitch black football pitch. They last a week on a USB charge for two hours a day walking, Mrs Spaniels collar is now 7 years old and still going strong

Mrs Spaniel being liver also has one of these jackets, it has a silver heat reflecting lining so keeps her toasty in colder weather

I have a battery operated flashing light collar that I snap on before getting p dog out at the yard.
Has a reflective strip on it too. 3 setting, on, slow flash and fast flash.
Batteries are easily replaced at local car factors for about a quid but one lasts through a winter usually.
Easy to locate a flashing red small dog on the muck heap.... or across a paddock at 6am in the morning....

I had flashing collars for both my dogs. Brilliant bits of kit. Could always find the "conveniently deaf" greyhound xwhippet when it had gone on one of it's mad, whirligig flings over pitch-black fields.
That and dog treats, shaken in a tin!
Still miss her, even after 12 years. Daft, skinny thing. She was a wonderful hot water bottle, too.

The basic Masta ones are fine, about £13, fleeced lining, Velcro front and belly strap.

I have a couple of Masta ones plus a Masta dog fleece that have outlived the original dog and gone onto a second one (they are over 15 years old); they still look smart and the waterproof ones are still waterproof despite regular machine washing (with Nikwax Tech Wash).

I also have a pair of good high-viz 'vests' that are ideal when the weather is too warm for the dog to wear a proper coat- they came from Pets at Home about 7yrs ago and still look like new, so would definitely recommend looking there.

What size dog? My yorkie has the muddy paws coat in flouro pink and it's brilliant.

Two Rottweilers and a diddy Jack Russell x Patterdale.

Thank you folks. They all have the Masta ones, which they've trashed playing tug with each other when they were younger, which isn't the coats fault.

I'd ideally like one that's high viz from a distance (yellow or pink), then lights up like a baboons backside when a car's headlamp hits it.

They don't get cold easily, and if it's that bad then can't get up the lane anyway unless want to be flat on m'behind ??
