Hi so my boy has been barefoot since April and all is going well but as his work is increasing he has gone foot sore on one of his fronts that he had an abscess in before christmas. I will prob need to buy single boots as his abscess foot is still longer than the other (but this should sort itself out in a few months) and it would also be good to have the option of putting studs in the boots. So...... Which boots do people feel are the best and best value for money?

I think the renegades are sold in singles and they definitely have stud options. There are pad options with them, too, which would help his abscess prone foot. From memory some of the easy boot range have stud options, too, but I'm less convinced by their pads. I haven't tried renegades, yet, as I don't think the smallest size is small enough for my midget, but lots ofpeople rate them.

Easyboot Gloves can be used with studs I think. They're good boots if your horse has the right shape of feet :) They're very neat and unobtrusive too, unlike some of the clumpier boots. I don't think any boots quite match Renegades though - I've been saving up for them since my horse's feet changed shape :)
