Think in here is best as it does sort of relate to feet. I need to get a pair of hoofboots for a horse thats a bit sensitive skinwise. I think boa will rub as she is a bit low on her heels and they look quite square plus right or wrongly I don't like the look of the dial thing on the front its down to old macs or cavallo. does anyone know which are less llikely to rub? I think it looks as if old macs are going to be slightly in the lead but welcome input

Providing they fit I am getting easy glove boots tomorrow. They seem to have very good reviews. So hoping they will fit my guy.

I love my equine fusions and have never had any issues with rubbing as they've quite soft and flexible and lightweight however if you know your horse to have very sensitive skin then a boot that does not come above the hairline may be a better choice.

I've a pair of Cavallo Simples for my mare and we love them. It will also depend on your horse's hoof shape...

I'm going to be getting another pair of Cavallo Simples for my new boy.

It is tricky to find boots to fit, I know from experience! Lucy Priory is running a booting clinic on 18th August in Gloucestershire where you can bring your horse and try on all the different brands to see which fits properly. Might be worth considering if you are close in enough, I have ended up spending a fortune trying different types and still no success so I am looking forward to the clinic! Details are on her website. :-)

Hi, I have tried boa, liked them for road work but found them lethal on either grass or muddy conditions.

Currently trying Cavallo simple on the front, and sports on the back, much better traction. I do not think my boy is completely happy as he has rather low under run heels and I am not sure but think they are putting too much pressure on the heel bulbs. I ride him bare foot on grass which he has no problem with.

Has anyone found a hoof boot good enough to hunt in?

J

If your horse is thin skinned I wouldn't get anything which touches skin. Easyboots which only attach to the hoof its self would be good, I got them and turned them into epics because I (temporarily) lost one. It depends how much you are doing. If you are just plodding about on a wee hack cavallos might be fine but they rubbed my mare badly on fast/long hacks.
