Best horse calmer for anxiety?

Does anybody have any advice for the best calmer to settle a very anxious new pony? I've tried Blue Chips Karma but it doesn't seem to be working.
 
Equistro is what my vet recomended to me, both worked well and i do recommend them after trying both it does take 10 days to really kick in!! there is equistro equilizer and equistro forte think they are both good!! viovet or animed is the cheapest which i have found to buy xxxx
 
I have used Horse First Relax Me with success too. Browsing on here the other day reminded me about the Bach flower essences which I hadn't used for ages...they are brilliant. Either Rescue Remedy or I think it is Aspen which is good for anxiety...I used to give it to my older horse when she got unsettled and it would calm her down very quickly.
 
Thank you so much for all your help, I'm going to research all the calmers mentioned and see which one is likely to suit his needs and temperament and work out which one is most likely to help him. I've also ordered valerian for him which whilst I'm not competing him may help him settle initially? Thank you again guys!
 
Have you considered the horse's routine?

As the pony has just changed homes he will be understandably unsettled and you may find he relaxes the longer you own him.

An anxious horse should be out in the field as much as possible and getting plenty of exercise to begin with.

Also make sure he does not have high energy feed.

If after you have addressed all those issues the anxiety issues are still overwhelming it may be worth trying a calmer. But to be honest I think they are a gimmick.
