Ex Broodmare by Brentano II guessing the stud could be bothered being creative and Brenda it was - was going to change it but didn't.

We have a cat called Pat.

Somebody I know has a "Bummer" I worked on one yard who had a gorgeous big liver chesnut warmblood called.... Fanny!! She was anything but.

My partner is hankering after a dog to call Phillip.

Oh yes, I've seen a horse called Fanny advertised in the past.

David... and I've also known a horse called Dave.

One of mine is technically called Richard...

I think human names are the funniest. I had an Alice. I also know a Norman, a Brigitte, a Snowy (a big chestnut mare), a Sally, a Logan, a Cher (he's a boy), a Dante (she's a girl), a Mildred, a Rory, an Arthur, a Frog and a Barry (a filly).

I love unusual names for horses (and dogs). I have known a Munchkin, Jerry Lee, Westerby, Chocolate, Horace, Gordon, Gemma, Happy, Myellow, and my first pony was called Bimbo - a very scruffy grey Welsh pony who was absolutely bombproof until you took him hunting, then he was dynamite! I also saw a horse advertised called Fanny but I just couldn't go there! :)

We have one called 'Dave'. 'Dave' has to be said in a low and grumbly manly voice!

Also went to a show where a pony's show name was 'like the wind' - was announced 'here is **insert rider's name** riding Like The Wind'. I thought that was brilliant (though probably not all that original!).
