My broodmare moves some makes of rug over to one side, her mother did the same, no idea why. So a Shires 180g is worn at a very jaunty angle, I bought her an Amigo Mio which is so flimsy that it doesn't stay in place 5 minutes, serves me right for being a cheapskate. Her tummy doesn't help I know but she is the same whether in foal or not.
Her mother was good in a FAL, but the 40g aren't warm enough and while the 200g is lovely and warm, on days such as this (sun out shock horror) far and away too warm.
I have a mare here in a PE but while it doesn't seem to move is so heavy to pick up even though it's not a heavy tog, so I don't want one of them for her. I have PE40g ones and they are great but obv. not warm enough.
So. Are the heavier denier H'Ware likely to stay in place better than the 600 denier, or doesn't it make any difference? I don't want more than 200g of fill. Any suggestions on any other brands would be welcomed, thanks.
