Hi all,

I'm on a lockdown boredom shopping spree and decided it's time for a new hunting numnah (even though the season is nearly over!!). Our saddle is cc so would ideally like something that provides a bit more comfort. I'd love to get something full sheepskin but the saddle is fit for a relatively thin numnah and the last thing I want to do is affect the fit! So ideally looking for something which offers comfort without having to change the saddle!

I have the saddler coming out soon, so I thought it would also be a good chance to have the numnah in time for him see and fit it.

Any suggestions welcome :)

Your choices are pretty narrowed down already tbh... but if you want comfort for the horse maybe a gel pad? I mean how thin exactly... my other thought was a pillowcase maybe...

ETA... I love the le mieux ones.

Thanks all! :)

We normally use a plain nuumed without any sheepskin in, but I've found it can rub a little at the bottom by the girth loop where he is clipped - he has super sensitive skin so it's not the numnahs fault, but I imagine the version you mention @Quigleyandme might do the same.. I found a 'lightweight' wool nuumed one that is 'less likely' to affect saddle fit.. I might ask the saddler what he thinks.
