Best joint supplement for older horses??

Started off on the glucossamine/msn just to help but now that my mare has actually had to have joint injections I've moved her onto equine answers premierflex plus (same ingredients as cortaflex HA but slightly cheaper and has devils claw included, so added bonus) I think it really depends on how much extra help is needed!!

Tried a few with no signs of improvement for arthritis so tried a herbal mix with super results and cannot rec contacting a herbalist enough. I now have our other horse also on herbs to maintain healthy joints.

I started my 30yo tb on Cosequine about 6 weeks ago, since then I have been able to reduce her Danilon form one a day to half a day and now she is off it completely. The change in her is wonderful she is moving really well and charging around its lovely to see. It is at the more expensive end of the market but once your past the dosing stage and just on the maintance rate it lasts for ages.

My boy's been on cortaflex, cortaflex HA and others to no effect but is now on codlivine supplejoint formula and it's working wonders for him :)

I use glucosamine/msm supplement by equine america and it seemed to work well for my 16yo mare last winter. she wont eat in the summer so i give her those meadow herbs treats with glucosamine in them.

I also use cortaflex with a splash of cod liver oil, my mare has been on it for 5 years to be honest I am not sure if any supplement really works as well as the ads say. But it gives me piece of ming that I am trying to help ward off stiffness and joint problems, it really is trial and error I,m afraid.
