Any ideas? My boots seem to last about 6 -8 months and then die. I wear them ALL the time, 7 days a week, 8 -10 hours a day. Have tried Ariat, tough walking boots, work boots, you name it. They've got to be comfy, supportive and well balanced. (Sounds like I need a good farrier :) doesn't it)
Am I asking too much? If I pay £70, and they are worn all the time the cost works out at an average of a tenner a month.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Please no barefoot suggestions ;)

I realised that my Mountain Horse High Riders have lasted me 9 years!! I am now looking for another pair so that I can wear them for dressage this summer. There is nothing wrong with my current pair other than they are quite worn looking but still presentable. Nothing structurally wrong, nothing broken. Very impressed with them.

Now, I certianly haven't worn them every day all day but I have worked out that I have probably worn them an average of 3 days a week (all day) for the last nine years. 3x52x9 = 1404 days use and still going strong.

Definitely worth a punt, they drop nicely, very comfortable. Mine are the brown and they look lovely well worn. If I didn't need a new pair to wear for showing I don't think I would be buying another pair for a couple of years.

My muk boot company wellies are about five years old. They still don't leak. But you can't ride in them. At one point they were worn for up to 8 hours a day 7 days a week, through clay mud, snow, floods and my feet were always cosy. And I wash them in the washing machine :0

Have you tried Equitector boots? They are sturdy, waterproof leather and keep my feet warm in winter and cool in summer.
