Anything without Silicone in it, in the short term the silicone will make the hair feel soft, but it will damage it and cause it to break, not ideal when you are after long full manes and tails.

Avon Skin So Soft. Cheap and cheerful. Brush through mane & tail after washing and it will give shine, condition, and it will leave the mane and tail beautifully manageable and takes out all the tangles.
