My girl went over the rainbow bridge this week and I miss her terribly and want to have something really lovely to remember her by. Aware of the usual bracelets/necklaces, I’d love a in the Wired Wild Wood, but they don’t appear to be taking orders. Has anyone had something different made? Any ideas?

I am thinking of having a bead (for a necklace) made with my boys white tail hair, and blue and green from his head collar. He wore the same head collar for 26 years and I know that white hair doesn’t show up too well, so I’m thinking a combination may work well.

If you're not specifically after jewelry I had mine cast in a little resin heart with a bit of glitter then mounted in a frame with a picture.

The resin is easy, I've since bought a kit and an ice cube mould and made them for my friends. If the hair is white cover with pva glue first to stop it going transparent.

I had this made by Remember me this Way equine keepsakes (contacted via her facebook page). The tree of life is made from my boy's tail and is framed within one of his shoes ❤️ there are other people who have since copied her idea with the shoe/tree of life thing but they don't look nearly as nice in my opinion.

I'm really sorry for your loss x

There is a page on FB called ‘Crafty by Rebecca - Equine Keepsakes’ and she embroiders your horse and then uses a real piece of tail. I’ve not used her services but what she produces looks so lovely! Such a nice way to remember them. I’m sorry for your loss.

I used Tip Top Tails, found her on FB, she made me a lovely bracelet with three green resin beads, a bit like pandora ones, with an apple pip in them. My boy is called Pippin! He's still with me, but retired now.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had my daughters horses ashes put in a small resin heart with a tiny forget me not flower. She attached it to her wedding bouquet when she got married so she could have them there. They look slightly glittery. I had two bigger hearts made which can be put on a chain or a charm bracelet and the little one for her bouquet. I cannot remember the company but lots of people do it.
