best micro chip scanner

I have this one but I didn't pay that price it was about £60 or so pounds, works well as we use it to check the dogs chips are working.

but does it work on horses ? .... i heard that they need to have a stronge singnal to pick up horse microchips ? becuse they are inbeded deep in the neck

It says it does but I've never tried it on a horse sorry.
