I'm likely to move house soon to a bigger yard at home and likely to need a mini-tractor to maintain it properly. Essentially it will need to move large haylage bales around and be able to top the fields and pull a tipper truck. Any suggestions as to what would be to best to get and how much it is likely to be?

I do love my little FE35. Cost £3k, but you could find a scruffy one for much less.
The little greyfergies are cute, but not too good for topping.

That depends on what you want to do with large haylage bales - a mini tractor will not be able to pick one up but would be able to pull a trailer with the weight of two easily.

If you want a machine with a fore end loader to pick up large bales safely - you'll need a full sized tractor because you'd be pushing it trying to lift with a compact tractor.

Funnily enough - you should be able to pick up a good full sized machine very reasonably as they don't hold their money like compacts or minis - unless they're vintage.

Fregies anyone who knows mechanics can service and fix them, easy to get spares, quite happy to live out and easy to drive even for me. Here is our little one
