My laddy can be a bit stiff for about 5/10 mins when we first start our hacks - I'd like to give him something to help with the stiffness.

What's best for a 12yo ISH in light / medium work?

Thankies!!

IMO Cosequin is the best (see my other posts) and doesn't work out half as bad as it seems for price once you are on maintenence dose. My ex-racer has Suppleaze Gold and he is fab on it, but unlike the Welshie on Cosequin, he doesn't have any specific problem, just a bit of general stiffness.

Hi,
I've got my boy on Cortavet HA, and MSM granuals and they both work a treat for him. He is a hunter who had a previous hard life, and has now got arthritis in his hocks.
I also put him his bioflow magnetic boots on over night which also help.

I have a 12 yo ISH on Suppleaze Gold on the recommendation of this forum, and the difference has been amazing. It's the best joint supplement I have used, even better than the prescription ones, and a lot cheaper.

My vet suggested using Equiflex when my insurance stopped paying for Cosequin. I was very suspicious as it is only £17.95 for a tub which lasts 6 weeks (on maintenance) but I swear it makes a difference. It's only available mail order but they are very quick and there's no P&P

My boy used to get stiff before I started feeding oil. He gets half a cup of corn oil in his dinner and hasn't shown any signs of stiffness since he's been on it.
