Looking for some over-reach boots for show jumping. Problem is i've heard horror stories about horses back feet standing on over-reach boots on take-off and having rotational falls...could just be me overthinking but I have a jumper with a big trot and springy paces and he tends to over-reach, have you had any good over-reach boots you could recommend? Thank you, showjumper96

I invested in the veredus ones a few months back and wouldn't use anything else now! They fit great and look good as well :)

There are a lot of threads on this. Think it was kerilli who had the best advice.

I use the tri zone ones as they are short and I really rate them. They are tough so provide protection. I also have westtropp neoprene ones which are also short.

They're not fancy, but I tend to use the "cheapy" rubber ones with velcro fastenings as I know that when my horse treads on them (which she does a lot!), they will just rip off and not cause her to come crashing to the ground. Its not overly cost effective as we get through so many but I prefer to use those than risk her catching herself. The Westropp petal boots may be worth looking at too?

Thank you that's great, definitely will look at all those, using some rubber ones at the moment until I do some more babysitting and earn some money! Think it is worth getting some nice ones which are short but protective for my peace of mind, couldn't bear my boy getting hurt! Thanks everyone :)

I use Westropp - clacketty clack ones. Hate the noise (but the new ones are less noisy). Love the fact that they are short enough. Plus if you do tread one the single petal comes off and can be cheaply replaced. Plus they are not "no turn", they are " they can turn all they like and still work".
