superficial wound but lots of bruising and 3 days bute and walking only.
So am looking at recommendations for best turnout over reach boots bearing in mind he is a sensitive chestnut and rubs easily?
rubber ones don't last 2 seconds on him so have always had the neoprene ones for riding in.

I use the sports medicine ones, they are not cheap by my coloured is really fine skinned and rubs easy and so far so good they havent rubbed!! She wore them for 2 months when she had a holiday in the field

I turn my darling out in Woofwear neoprene overreach boots. They are life savers. He lives in them - out in the field all day and then ridden in them. I found rubber overreach useless - the velcro was no good and he pulled them off daily. He also got a skin infection where the rubber ones rubbed! These ones have really good velcro and don't rub him. They aren't too expensive either and I find even in our wet muddy fields a pair will last at least six months, but often up to a year.

As mad as it sounds the TESCO ones are really good. I have a couple of pairs for my very thin skinned TB and they havn't rubbed at all and she has had them on all winter.

They are reasonably priced as well and are often cheap (I think I paid £2.89 for a pair but this was in a sale!)

i find anything with velcro is useless as they die too fast. aran lives in the cheapie pull-on o/r boots. he has no rubs etc and has been in them since september. he's a thin skinned TB. however, i think it depends on the horse what suits.
