My current over reach boots are rubbing my lad.

He had all his feathers taken of on sunday, so the boots are a bit more in contact with his legs but he wore them for 45 mins and he had open rubs on him?

Wich over reach boots woul you reccomend to prevent rubbing?

I thought of the boots with fur trim around the top which i think eskadron make but he will be wearing them xc so they may not be that practicle :S

What do you all reckon?

Thanks

The best thing I have found, is cheap rubber ones with a thick layer of vaseline smeared around the top.

Everything rubs my horse, even the soft neoprene ones (I haven't tried fur lined ones however) but she wore rubber ones 24/7 over the summer with no rubs - I removed them and vaselined her legs each day and it worked a treat.

Ive got the premier equine ' ez wrap' ones and they dont rub atall

Thanks again

have tried woof wear kevlar, mark todd compitition, and the old pull on rubber ones but the best ones by far are the proffesional choice ballistic overeach boots.
Use the size guide on their website and measure the pastern circumferance and the hoof circumfarence to get the right size amd they do as they say, do not move, stay in the same place. My horse wears them 24/7 including out in the muddy field and they certainly have not rubbed
(He has a tendancy to pull of his front shoes with his back)
