Best paint for jumps?

I'm hoping you lovely people will know what paint it's best to use for show jumps. I've used gloss before but found it chipped really easily. Suggestions please? I've just bought myself some new poles

I was told marine paint is the best for painting showjumps due to its durability.

I have been using External Gloss paint.

Gloss is as good as anything. Marine paints are really expensive and will still chip in the end.

yeah marine paint is expensive - just looked.

Maybe I'll stick with gloss. I once had some poles that had a matt finish & the paint didn't chip. Don't know what paint that would have been?

If you use a primer, undercoat & then gloss you will find that the paint will stay on the poles a lot longer. Invariably paint chips off easily when there has ben no proper base coat applied to the poles before top coat.
