I have horse policies with KBIS and Stoneways. Are these folk any good for trailers or would you recommend someone else?

I used to insure with the NFU. might be worth a go.

NFU wont insure a trailer on its own. Only as an additional cover with a horse policy.

I don't insure my horses (have house insurance and BHS Gold Membership) but also have a Ifor Williams trailer I'd like to get covered on its own. I shall watch this post with interest. :)

I ensure my trailer with KBIS, I also have roadside recovery for the horse and trailer with them.

Whilst I have never claimed for the trailer I have with the horse and they have been very good with prompt payments.

I used Julie Andrews to get a quote - they are a broker and will check all the insurers and seem to get a better deal than going direct. They will to a trailer separately as my horse and trailer are on different policies.

Remember to check what security you need for your insurance to be valid!

Might give KBIS a tinkle as I'm already with them but thank you all for other suggestions too :)

I think I should be ok in terms of locks. I have a locking hitch and a pretty decent wheel clamp. Might also buy a second wheel clamp so I have one on both sides! :)
