Best pet insurance?

I have just rehomed an 8 month old sprocker bitch and i want to insure her.
Can anyone recommend an insurance company, particularly one that will cover an ailment for life rather than just a year?

pet plan are well known. i am with healthy pets who are a bit cheaper and will cover for ongoing conditions

I had my cats insured with Sainsburys and they were fantastic when I had to put a big claim in - paid up, no questions or arkwardness and even backdated some of the vets treatment and paid us for that. Have recently changed non-claiming cat to Direct Line, Dog is with them as well and they do good discounts for multiple pets, even bigger if you have car and/or home insurance with them. You can choose your policy and pay a little extra to have the lifetime treatment policy, which is what we have. Have left claiming cat with Sainsburys as no one else would touch him with an insurance barge pole and they're quite happy with him!!

Just got lifetime cover with Pet Plan and it was the best quote bar one whom I had not heard of

She is called Whizz ! and she is grey and white with black ears! She has a small springer body with black dots on her paws and a cocker head!

I have our three insured thro Tesco - seems comprehensive and cheaper than most although I understand Argos is good too.
