Just had confirmation from the vet that my lads surgery went well and hes back on his feet!!!!

And what did i do??

I cried! That sodding horse makes me cry everytime!!!

Im counting down the hours left in work.... Cant wait to see him!! And ive stocked up on bananas for him!! :)

I know the road ahead is still long but hopefully we are now one step closer :)

Bit of a pointless post really!!!

Thanks everyone, heres an obligatory pic of the invalid - happily stuffing his face as usual!!!

He was still a bit groggy but still mushed his bananas up!! :)

Don't know what the surgery was but great news :) I had one go in for surgery and it is so nerve wracking, all the best for the recovery to follow !

The surgery was a superior check ligament desmotamy, to help reduce the tension in his tendons. He has one torn one on the near fore and an enlarged one on the off fore! Thanks i know its a long road but hopefully we will get there hes only 5 bless him!

Thank u everyone at least he will be less groggy when i see him tomorrow!!! :D

Bless him, what has he done? glad to read some good news!

He has tendonitis in both front legs, he tore his sdft on his near fore back in sept which is healing nicely but the scan also found an enlarged sdft on the off fore most probably from an old injury we think, so this surgery was performed to help reduce the tension in the tendons giving him a lower chance of reinjury when he comes back into work... Now we have to wait and see if its worked!!
