Hi

I've found my usual bouncy section D is feeling a bit flat over the last few weeks. Shes fine in herself but has just lost her usual spark. The same thing happened around this time last year so I've put it down to the cold weather/short days etc.

Can anyone recommend a good supplement to pick her up a bit. I don't exactly want her doing backflips in the field haha, but just something to give her a bit of oomph! Someone has suggested redcell? My YO uses it for her Pointers and swears by it.

Any recommendations?

Global Herbs have just brought out a supplement called Winter Boost. It has really helped my boy who always goes flat at this time of year but hasn't made him sharp.

I had one the same last year, I put it down to the lower quality grass and gave him high quality haylage and some readygrass with a balancer alongside his usual feed, it perked him up pretty quickly.

I’d say you need to know why she is flat. When my friends horse went a bit flat a blood test showed raised liver enzymes, same with my horse. Giving them red cell or propel adds iron I believe, so feeding these would not benefit the liver. I would run a quick blood test and see if she is anaemic or has a virus or liver issue. ...but I’m paranoid!
