So yesterday I have agreed the sale for my new horse (pending a vetting on Monday), and all being well he will be with me on the following saturday). Its been a very long time since I've had a new horse to kit out and thankfully he will fit into most of my rugs etc. from my old mare Betty.
So, firstly any recommendations on where I can get decent quality but affordable stable matting, I'd normally go to my local feed merchants, but they've stopped stocking it...
Next, I'll need to arrange a saddle, initially I'm planning to have Tower Farm saddlers out to bring a selection of 2nd hand saddles (am on a tight budget) any other recommendations for saddlers that can bring a selection in the Leicestershire/Derbyshire area?
Now for the fun stuff, I plan to buy a new bride (even though he will fit into one or two of my old ones) I am not looking to spend a fortune £50 at the most, any suggestions (he is a TB with quite a fine face)
Boots - just a pair of general tendon boots, again dont want to break the bank as they will only be used for jumping/hacking etc.
Thanks everyone, I'm a bit like a kid on the run up to christmas at the moment, over excited and inpatient!
