Hi,

as the title says really, is it best to look on places like Horsemart, or try to find a dealer or a local private seller? or does it not really matter? where do you get the best deals?

Thanks very much!

I have just bought a 7.5 ton off e-bay, we are picking it up tomorrow and hopefully it will breeze the 140 miles up the M1.
We looked at it before bidding though, to make sure it was sound and all paperwork in order!!

Been trying for mnths to find a 3.5ton for a 16.2hh horse that is side unload and looks like it wont break down on me! Horsemart is prob the best place to look though, and horsedeals. Though worth keeping in touch with dealers dependant on your budget

I got mine through the pony club website.I paid probably a bit under what it's worth but i have spent a lot on it and i've only had it a couple of months! Quite a few 3.5's turn up on it as you get a lot of pony boxes sought after,i'll be selling mine on it when the time comes.

I just got mine from an advert in my local feedbarn - they seem to have a few turn up on their board every now and then. I probably paid a bit more than it is worth but as it was local I knew a couple of people who knew the owner and also knew it had been really well cared for as she had it for 10 years. I also know where she is liveried if it goes badly wrong on me!! Was happy to pay for knowing it wasn't made of half a dozen bits from other stolen lorries!

Make sure when you buy you don't tell anyone where it is going to be stored as they are very nickable.
