Best place to buy boswellia for horses....?

I recently bought some off ebay £15 for 1kg plus postage said it was for horse. Same guy as Auslander I think
I can only presume its ok,smell reminds me of a catholic church!!! First time I have bought any.
At risk of tempting fate horse seems well on it.

My two turned there noses up when tried it first even the one that will eat wormer in his feed.
But persevered and just added a little bit at first increasing it every day. Both eat it no bother now.It has a strong smell.

Mine have hoovered it from day 1. I was sure they were going to turn their noses up at It, but they've been fine. Breath smells lovely too!

My geekiness led me to do much research, and I've concluded that Boswellia Serrata and Boswellia Carterii are very similar in composition. They come from different parts of the world, and Boswellia Serrata has just been under greater scrutiny -whether that because India is far more into holistic therapies than Somalia - who knows. I'm happy that the Carterii I use is having a satisfactory effect on my guys

I buy mine ready blended with glucosamine and msm from the natural horse supplies lady.

It bothers me that they suggest you feed 10-15g of pure glucosamine, 10-25g of pure MSM, and 5-15g of boswellia if you feed them separately - but if you buy the mix of all three, they suggest you feed 20-30g. Doesn't add up to me, which is why I prefer to buy separately, and feed the recommended amounts of each.

Sorry Auslander - this is all new to me - where do you get yours from and how much do you feed?

I have a very stiff old gelding who has been hammered in his former life. His front legs are very sore. At the moment we have had to pop him on Danilon to help him out as the supplement s have stopped working.

Nothing wrong with Natural Horse Supplies-I just can't get my head round the recommended amount of that supplement, when you can buy the separate ingredients on the same site - but they suggest feeding a lot more of each!

I get my boswellia from www.rahiiq.com, MSM from Aviform, and glucosamine from my vet - feed 30g of each daily

I think you do have to be careful with where you buy supplements from. I personally buy Boswellia from Pegasus Health mainly because i know it is a high quality product which is subjected to GMP Processes ensuring it is all ways high quality.
You can save the postage & more buying the Pegasus stuff through Amazon.

I went for Pegasus health in the end just to be sure, doesn't smell as strong as i thought and with a tiny dab of molasses to be sure she is wolfing it down
Viovet sell it to but didn't have it in stock when i ordered but i will be using them in the future as save a few pounds plus no delivery charge and very reliable!
