My bf has just got into riding and is very enthusiastic(!) and wants to buy his own gear. Our local tack shop is pretty basic and only stocks a very minimal amount of male wear.
Where is the best place to buy it online?
He is quite fashion conscious so keep that in mind!

Thanks for any help....even google's not being very helpful!

I get my OH stuff from here, http://www.wholehorse.co.uk/ mens stuff is hard to come by though! For comp wear he got a gorgeous tweed for £20 off ebay! Mark Todd do nice mens breeches too (pleated fronts make for more PG viewing!). Horseware/Mark Todd/Joules for nice polo shirts if that is the sort of thing he likes? Equestrian Clearance are good for competatively priced riding boots, though OH needed to get ariat chaps so he could get some long enough! Hope Valley usually has a good deal on these.

Depends on how much you want to spend.
For some strange reason male riding attire seems to carry a price premium.
From experience I know horseatack do carry a reasonable range of mens gear.
Most of my comp gear I picked up at big events like your horse live etc.
Mark Todd gear is good and I love my schumacher stuff but that really does come at a price.

Rugged do some lovely mens breeches. They are a dark beige and look very nice on a friend of mine :D
Our local tack shop does quite a big mens range and have boots in size 14...wow! I like the thought that he won't grow anymore, so get the best!

Robinsons equestrian - the cheap primark shop, not the more expensive one. Loads of cheap stuff on there!

Or if hes thin enough... womens cloths!

Mark Todd breeches are very flattering - on my husband anyway! - and come in practical colours as well as white. Ariat boots and chaps / gaiters are good. If he gets competative and decides he wants the show jacket the Italian makes are good and grey looks very flattering on most blokes!

My OH is pretty skinny - he takes a 28/30" size, so he does struggle to get jods - Hes just bought a pair of Dublin ones on Ebay for £20 - he likes the cotton type ones, not the more synthetic Mark Todd sort.

Usually paired with a cheap shirt/polo shirt. He spends more on his horses dead sheep clothing than his own riding clothing.
