As title really. I need to replace some broken fence rails and was looking at using pressure treated rails to try and prevent the horses chewing them. I have got electric standoff wires but the cheeky bighters have learned that they can have a nibble on the lower rails without getting zapped :(

Have looked at Jacksons but does anyone have any good suggestions?

Thanks

We are a timber merchants in North Yorkshire and we sell pressure treated (tanalised) rails... But probably depends where you are for us to be any help! If you aren't in this neck of the wood just google timber merchants or saw mills in your area. We use them for our horses and they never chew, but not sure if that's because they're such little angels or whether it's the type of rails!! tee hee!

Your horse will eat pressure treated rails as quickly as untreated ones. If you have a small local sawmill, larch rails are very good. They last longer than pressure treated and dont taste so good. They might even be a bit cheaper.
