best place to buy trailer tyres from

anyone bought trailer tyres recently? where did you buy them from and roughly how much did you pay?

ive just found out i have car tyres on my trailer

so wanna get it sorted asap.

ats quoted £180 4 tyres fully fitted
bathwick quoted £140 4 tyres fully fitted

are these good prices and also any specific make to go for (apart from them being trailer tyres)

Had mine replaced by ATS and were only £160 fitted 8ply van tyres.

I got mine from etyres they come out to your house or yard to fit them, mine was £40 for one inc. fitting.

Just make sure they don't put car tyres on. You need to have reinforced tyres.

It depends on what brand they have quoted you on. Obviously a budget brand will be a hell of a lot cheaper than a premium.

Forgot to say, check what that price includes. If valves, disposal of old casings and vat are to be added obviously it makes a difference to the price.

Prices sound about right to me, a full set of 4 worked out at about £126 a couple of years ago from ATS, so I would say about right. I had the ones approved by the Electricity Board for use on their equipment trailers put on, to get approval from an organisation like that is not a straightforward process so I figured they would be OK and they have been. I would have had to wait whilst they got them in if I had gone for the same again as were already on the IW 505 trailer (continental I think they were)
