Best place to find a horse?

Basically I am after another horse come december ish. I am wanting a big hunter or a maxi cob, Does not have to be county level but nice enough to do well at shows etc. I dont mind getting something to do some work on.
Just want something to have some fun on, willing enough to try anything.

I know this is what everyone wants but I know people go over to Ireland frequently and bring some fantastic horses back so wondered would this be worthwhile?

Ireland is a good idea, but you wont get "cheap" horses over there really... not with the exchange rate how it is now!! Word of mouth and scouring the internet and papers/mags is prob the best bet tbh...

No hes not for sale, I want another running along side him but more to do workers and things on, murphy will show jump but the working hunter is way to scarey for him. So going to stick to ridden hunter/ dressage with him. And want something to also show, but more workers and just do all the fun rides etc.

Well not wanting a cheap horse as such, Just want a decent horse, And a dealer near us gets some gorgeous hunters so might ask him but quite fancied a trip over myself
