Having frozen my fingers off hunting on Tues in wind, cold and rain I want to get some Seal Skinz gloves - which ones are best for hunting? Do any have sheepskin on the inside and how good are the sizes?

I bought a pair of the sealskinz riding gloves, but I found them too bulky to be able to ride in. I couldn't bend my fingers properly. They were ok for doing yard dutues; carrying buckets, etc, but they were a pain because I had to keep taking them off to do up buckles, etc!

I would advise you try on a pair at a tack shop before you buy, incase you don't get on with them. They are very warm though, and waterproof!

I have the same problem, I find these gloves too bulky, UNTIL I was at local saddlers and my friend found them with pink backs, also do in black, nice and warm and thin enough to still feel the reins through, I ride in double reins and find other gloves too bulky, these are LOVELY, £30 but I think they're worth it, as long as they do what they say on the tin, i've kept the receipt in case ! having past experience with the pimple ones, I find they are ok but not that warm, once wet stay wet for a while, took couple of days for mine to dry, that was up the yard though

I find the best ones for riding are 'Ladies All Weather Riding Glove' as they are the least bulky. They are great for hacking but still find I don't have enough feel when schooling so would recommend the insulated tek grip gloves by Ariat or winter chester gloves by Roeckl as an alternative.
Best place to get them online is www.trot2.com, they are selling Seal Skinzs below RRP at the moment and delivery is really quick.

Agree with Noisygirl, the pink backed ones are great (I think they're "all weather" as opposed to "winter" riding gloves.) not as warm as the winter ones, but not as bulky either! I'd advise that you try them on as well, they seem to be made for people with long slim hands and fingers, so I had to go for the extra small ones to make sure my fingers made it to the ends!

I love my Roeckl chester gloves but they have given up the go and wasn't wanting to buy any more just yet and they weren't the best gloves for cold weather. I had no idea they did winter chester gloves, you have made my day.
