Where are the best places for off-road hacking in Herefordshire?
We are due to move down to the area in the next few weeks - pretty close to Haugh woods. Can you tell me if there are a lot of mountain bikers in there, or if there are tracks for just horses. Likely to want to go there at a weekend, so it would be good to know what to expect!
Holidaying there next month Lucton. Any stables or trekking centres?

I think you need a permit for thereAre you near Mortimer Forest, which is close to Ludlow?
No I don't think so. Used to need a permit for the Wyre Forest, which is very busy, but don't need one now for riding, although they have hiked the charge for parking a lorry/trailer.I think you need a permit for there

I don't recall Mortimer Forest needing a permit as it is nowhere near as busy as Wyre Forest and is different ground conditions.
