I have had my ad up in the local tack shop and a couple of free ad places online, but haven't had any response at all, so thinking about going on h&h, horsemart etc - which is the best one in people's opinions? Where would you look if you wanted to loan?

I thought I would have had some response by now, where am I going wrong?

Is the price too much (£20 for Saturday and Sunday, just riding but no competing or jumping) or are people not thinking of loaning going into Winter?

try stabletalk.............i always get a result.
but are you looking to loan or share........you may need more clarity in you ad.......my sharer pays £80 a month for full use and lift to the occassional event.

I think you should re-word your ad and state that its for share, because if i were loaning a horse i would want to have it as mine to ride when i want and do as i please (within reason).

And i dont know if it depends on the area, but around here loaning is for free but all costs for the horses are paid for by the loaner.

I think the price is fine, but you should reword it to say its a sharer you are looking for. I would be asking for a bit more, especially as you're letting them have your horse for the whole weekend.

I found freeads was the best place by far when i advertised Paddy. Free, got hundreds of responses, easy to email and talk, they put phone number through them for privacy, and i have now found an amazing loan home for him which i could pick out of a huge number of people : )
