Really really excited - my chassis has gone to the north to be made into a horse box -yeah !! expecting to get it in 5 to 6 weeks. So now planning the rest of my life (LOL) - now i know the show sceen but really want to do loads of the old fashioned hacking - you know off road, grassey paths, misty mornings and virtually no traffic - so can any of you recomend places i can box my horses to and do i need to get a pass to ride in certain areas. I am looking at travelling upto an hour from birmingham - so derby, stafford, warwick areas.

thanks

ooo, come to Foremark reservoir, no pass to ride and hours of off road hacking.

I think I should charge commission for the tourist board

Thanks for the info few more questions:-

Slinks - what is the toll ride - and where does it start and hatters - do you need a permit for the chase - I have heard that you do.

dwi - the resovoir sounds bliss think this is the place 'other half stopped on one of his bike rides and he said it would be lovely to go for a walk round on a winters morn - this place finally got him to say " yes to the box"

Its 18 mile around a private estate - you can have a day hat band - its £5 . The nearest town is Melton Mowbray - as well as the toll there are loads of normal bridleways so we are spoilt for choice!! and its the middle of hunting country so lots of hills etc

Will PM you more details if you like.
