Ok so we finally got shot of the wintec and got a nice leather jumping saddle :D I want it to last a while so what products keep your leather saddles in tip top condition, especially sfter riding in rain?

The best saddle soap is one called RACE.
It is a soft soap, soaks into leather like an oil would but it does not rot the stitching or get terribly greasy or sticky.
It preserves the leather and waterproofs it.

At the moment it is not on the general market though it has been around for several years.

If you want the address to order some PM me.

Wiped over very lightly with luke-warm water (just-damp sponge, try not to get too wet. Just enough to get any grease and dirt off), allowed to dry followed by Carr Day and Martin saddle soap is what I do :) xx

Another vote for Horsemans one step and Race!

I got my race from my saddler and it lasts ages! (also brings up my smelly dubarrys like new!)
