Best quality Hi-Viz?

for horse or rider? for rider either go the safety wear route or try something like Lunarider-the jackets can be picked up for £35. Both the lunarider and safety wear stuff is up to standard.

Ebay is your friend :)

Warm paddy bomber jackets for less than £15 posted! I love mine!
There is also loads of tabbards real cheap (just don`t search in the equine listings!!)

Me, i'd go to Any big supermarket, and look at the stuff for cyclists and use that. An armband makes a great tail band! The word "equestrian" usually means double the price! I have a v bandz vest, but only 'cos the local feed merchant was selling off on the cheap, so look for items on sale.

I use workwear shops. They have the stuff up to standard for motorway/railway use. Much cheaper and much better than equestrian stuff.

Look at my post today about Valentine's day wearing my new builder style jacket :-) its soft shell and great value for money, also comes in yellow.

I like polite but it's soo expensive, so, anyone got any bog standard hi viz that's good but cheap?
Well, I got tired of buying expensive hi-viz from the horse shops and having them pinched so I picked up my latest hi-viz waistcoats from Morrisons' service station - £2.99 a pop. No fancy writing just bright yellow with reflective strips. IKEA do them to at a similar price (or at least they had them last year).

I had a cheapie tabard from a bargain bin at a show 15 years ago and that is still in excellent condition. If you are at any events this year might be worth looking out for that sort of thing. I also have a builders waistcoat but I find it less comfortable than the tabard so use it less. You can get them in lots of different colours though and they are quite inexpensive online. Bear in mind if you wear these not done up it makes no difference being able to see you from the front. Drove past someone like this yesterday and from the front she may as well not have bothered.

For the pony I had a set of the v bands leg wraps, again I have had these 15 years and they are still performing so can't grumble at that.

I've just bought myself a Parsons Rump for the pony (don't like exercise sheet styles as the pony gets far too hot) and it looks great. Will be testing it on the roads this weekend.
