best reins for grip

didn't think about it much beforehand but afterwards seriously regretted taking pony hunting on sunday in half rubber dressage reins!

so, going to buy something more suitable and debating between full rubber reins or those continental style grippy ones with the leather notches down them as he tends to snatch the reins and i thought these might stop them getting pulled through my fingers so easily.

the gfs ones are pretty good think they are about £25 or were the last time I bought them or if you fancy something a bit more pricey the eventa reins are good as well but are about £50 they are pretty unbeatable on my hard puller (I had extra grippy gloves on as well!)

the eventa/jelly reins are excellent and stay grippy when wet. expensive though!

It's all about the glove/rein combo!

Neoprene gloves are GREAT as are any rubber reins with a nylon type cord as opposed to leather in them.

I have the T de T reins and they are great, also own some eventa reins. The T de T are the best for grip.

I wouldn't be without my Bio Grip reins, especially for hunting. They're fab with any type of glove I happen to find in the wagon and never slip even when wet. They're a little pricey but you get what you pay for IMO. They also do them in Pony length which may be handy for you. 10 out of 10 from me

I swear by continental reins (the ones with the leather 'bands') never used anything else. Hate pimple reins personally, they always felt too chunky to me.
