best replacement chassis for a horse box

as the title says, what do people recomend for a horse box, as in best mpg, drive and horse ride

Hi It can depend on what the original chassis was, for example if the container has come off a Bedford tk tl or a ford cargo it will fit on a ford 75e15 without to much adjustment. For economic reasons the fords are the cheapest for parts and readily available. Mann and merc parts are expensive and can be difficult to obtain.

It would have to be a DAF for me every time - reliable work horses, many dealers, loads of them around for spares etc
