Best rider only insurance? Do I need it?

I think I probably need rider only insurance, Is joining the BHS the best option or is there another one which is better?
I share a horse and ride a couple of other peoples horses, so can someone please explain exactly what it covers that the horses insurance won't cover or my life insurance?

I'm a sharer and I know the BHS one covered what I needed last time I checked (cpl of years ago!). Worth checking with any others if you are covered given that you pay/are paid to ride.
 
I was with NFU for rider insurance - it was part of my loan agreement to be insured. I can't remember what it covered now but details will be on their website. NFU said it would no longer be valid if I owned a horse and had it insured so I cancelled it.
