best riding helmet

this has probably been done but i cant find it in any of the threads. Which hat to buy?at the moment i have the thlewell one, just the basic, but it gets so sweaty and its so heavy. I want one that feels light, and doesnt make my hair cover with sweat(nice!) and preferably that looks alright. its for general riding and then eventing(well ODE etc) What are your favorites?
 
i like the "Elite Plus Riding Hat" it doesn't make my head sweaty, I wore it for 3hrs one day and my hair was a little sweaty but not much!!

but i couldn't tell you myself that they are good

don't know how much you are looking to spend but i really like the first one...i've got it and it's reall confortable!!
 
I use champion ventair for everyday and my hair looks much better after a nice workout on the beast
 
I use a Casco Arcus for every day and SJ - its around 200g, huge air vents. Rarely makes me sweat.

For RC where the BSI kitemark is required I have invested in a Horka riding hat, but was also looking at the Polly Hats.

I don't really care what they look like as long as they are comfotable. I hate Charles Owen and Champion as they are heavy and don't fit my head (latter being v. important!!)
 
Charles Owen adventura if you're wanting a lightweight skull & and it's semi ventilated so keeps your head cool

Really rate it as a hat, plus for a skull cap, it's pretty low profile too
 
I have a Champion vent air with no peak, I like the harness on it as it doesn`t annoy me but my head does sweat in it. But then again I still wear a light fleece!.
 
At home I use one of those endurance type ones with bit ventilation slits down it, they're cheap and very lightweight and cool.

But if you want to event in it as well, then Id recommend a Charles Owen J3. Fabulous hats. Love mine
