My poor skewbald has caught the sun in her arm pits/ creases on her front legs. What rug is best to protect her from the sun?
I already plaster her nose in sun cream and have started to apply to her front legs too.

Weatherbeeta kool coat, cotton and light and won't rub. If near Milton Keynes or Droitwich spa horseatack do a combo summer sheet identical. My cobs nose is pink, done the sun cream but then found her washing it off in water.... And yes it was the waterproof one!

Have a look at the amigo Aussie allrounder. It is a brilliant rug and as well as uv and fly protection, its water resistant, and keeps them clean :D

I found Kool coats rubbish, only used them once and they got very sweaty. Now use Rambo protector or Amigo's. They seem to breath better and not get so sweaty.

For my sweaty pink skinned cob, who has to be clipped all year round, the Kool coat has been a godsend. The mesh panels allow the breeze through and under the whole sheet, seems to keep him cooler than when he's unrugged.

Sudocrem on his nose and sheath stops sunburn and midge attacks. It seems to have more staying power than sun creams.
