Morning All,

I need to buy some lovely new rugs for my Cob for the winter.

Does anybody have any ideas which make/design/style would best fit a rather chunky coblet?!?

My coblet (15h and takes 6'6" rugs!) has Shires and Premier Equine which seem to fit her best - she has big chest and shoulders and they don't rub her either.

Thanks!! Mine has a shortish neck, big shoulders and is quite short coupled... A far cry from the glamourous skinny model horses in the catalogues!!

Morning, yesterday i took delivery of Horseware Rambo XL and I'm sooooooooooooo pleased with it

Made specifically for the 'larger lady or gentleman' it fits my chunky monkey a treat.

This is a newish horsey to me and I'd never bought him a rug before, i only knew that ones i had for my other neddy, just didn't fit round the shoulders.
I posted for help on here and good old HHOs came up trumps and someone recommended the Rambo XL.
I went to Horseware website and found their guide to measuring their rugs to fit, it's a slightly different way of measuring a rug but it worked a treat, it fits perfectly all over. Here's the link if you're interested

Cost a few meals out and several bottles of wine

Edit spelling again, sorry

hi-

I recomend the rambo xl as skippydo said. I also recomend the ORIGIONAl weatherbeeta not the freestyle nonsense. I had a v hw cob who fitted the old style weatherbeeta a treat but i did have to have a 7ft and he was 15.3 ( see avatar) I now have a 16.2 shire x who whilst looking like a hand me down urchin fits them well as well!!

Good luck xx

My chunky 14.3hh coblet wears a six foot rug and its Weatherbeeta or Masta every time for all. Fits his huge shoulders, wide girth and big bum a treat.

My friend has the rambo XL and it fits really well. Ditto on the origional weatherbeeta not the freestlye, very restricting in shoulders even on my IDx.
