Which rugs have people found are the best for growing youngsters? I've found that to get the right length in back they tend to be too loose around the neck and chest, or the necks fine but they're too short in back. Poor pony is getting fed up with having his rug tied with twine instead of buckles :o

I've started looking myself, I have 'heard' that Amigo rugs are quite a small fit and less baggy up front and that Shire rugs come up 'big' clues in the name I guess.

I've got both Amigo and Shires for my yearlings both are spot on fits. keep away from HKM, dreadful fitting. Only advice with Amigo is to go for a size larger because they are quite small.

The grey looking all cute, pink and young in her 5ft Amigo. Aaaaah, she was so sweet back then. :) ;)

Older (2 years old), naughtier and wearing the Rhino that I cut the neck off.

Same rug without the neck - on the chestnut.

I got an amigo... about 1-2 sizes to big for ben, and darted the shoulders (after this pic was taken!) It lasted the whole winter before he outgrew it :D
