My OH and I like to go for hacks when we're on hols in UK and have a riding holiday booked for next March in Andalucia (can't bl**dy wait). The problem is that I have a fairly well-padded bum but still get sore seatbones on some saddles. He has a fairly skinny bum and on some hard saddles is in pain after 40 minutes!

So...can any of you lovely people recommend a good seat saver? I know the price varies a lot - I don't mind paying if it's really worth it. We'll be riding up to 4 hrs a day on our riding holiday so it's gonna be important

Only two quality ones on the market - Heather Moffatt and Ann Rees Equestrian.

Heather Moffatt seatsavers also seem to help me stay in one place in the saddle, which is very useful on a sharp , spooky horse that objects if I move slightly!!

oh yes the suede is excellent! - mine is shiney now, I have a new one in waiting but I am saving it (not sure what for!)

Lol Ester - that's the sort of thing I do!

Sounds like Heather M is the way to go - thanks fo your help all!!

I do it all the time now as people are forever changing things/ stopping them. I have a whole bunch of chaps and gloves to get through

I got the spare when I could get it cheap as working in a tack shop.

"Shiney" does not detract one bit from the concept - they still do work. If you wish to sell your "shiney", please PM me. Best regards.

I got a second hand HM one for my old arab and his rider. Rider doesn't usually like new stuff but she liked the seat saver so it must be good.

Usually can pick up a cheapoe off ebay.
