I tried a dodecahedron thing for Willsy some years ago and he just didn't 'get' the concept at all so apart from the 20 sided thing which ones are good?

I have a ball for mine, but he doesn't 'get' that either!! He will just keep pushing it, and even when the treats come out, he will continue to push the ball!I've seen some horses have good fun with the ball ones though, maybe its just mine that doesnt understand!

None! My horse sprained his fetlock trying to stand on one, so box rest was even more prelonged. Better to hang a swede if really need something but do think its a human thing that horses need amusing.

Thankyou, I will keep my much needed money for something else. You're most probably right, they are not budgies after all so will have to make do with hay!

Try the natural stuff
Swedes tied up. Log (from non-poinsonours tree
). Handful of twigs and leaves (ditto non-poinsonous) tied up. Hide carrots in his bed.
Used to do it with my mare when she was on alternate day t/o and she liked the stimulation - made life a bit more interesting me thinks.

mine has the red one (from the lik it people) loves it keeps her ocupied for ages and have just lent to some one whos horse ison box rest and that is very much keeping her happy! how ever my other horse thinks its a stupid game as the food wont come out fast enough!!! but she likes the lik-its you hang up and the one that likes the ball doesn't so they are all different!
