Best stable sheet for summer

Thinking ahead to summer ?

I have a grey and although he will be turned out most of the time in summer as he has laminitis he will still be spending some time in the stable for a few hours each day and I’d like him to not be covered in poo stains ? I’m looking for a cooler/stable sheet that doesn’t attract shavings/bedding but that’s light enough to wear in summer.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a fly rug but they are
A: light coloured
B: when covered in poo will attract flies!

Have a look on the Maxima Equestrian website - they have a navy poly cotton summer sheet with a slight sheen on the outside which helps to stop bedding sticking to it. Not expensive either.

I’ve got a Rambo one which is lovely but it’s the lined type and won’t be as cool as a plain cotton sheet.
it never picks bedding up though and washes nicely.

I have the same issue as you but the problem is that the lighter weight sheets soak up the moisture from the poo and it stains through to your horse regardless. I just wash him off with luke warm water.
