Are the sprengers worth the money and if so which ones? I do find after a long ride my ankles are killing with normal stirrups! And in may I'm going on holiday with my horse so will be on lots of long rides so want some comfy stirrups :)

Yes there fantastic expensive but worth every penny , I havent tried the cheaper ones but my friend said there great she got hers from eBay shires ones I think

I'd love to know the answer too. I read about the Sprengers in a magazine & gasped  at the price but I suppose they aren't something that need replacing often......?

Bit different to a flexi-stirrup, but I have the Mark Todd wide foot based lightweight irons which are fab! My knees and ankles used to kill after riding 1 lot cantering, now with these I have no problem- even with riding 6 lots a day or all day hunting. They even do a flexi version too :)

I have just bought some zilco reflex stirrups. I love them. Yhey are very lightweight, have a prung and safety tread and a wider foot bed. Also under £40!!

Sprengers are well worth the dosh. I bought some system 4 off set eye ones, best money I've ever spent on anything horsey and I've had horses for 37years.

I have cheap ones. They work fine in terms of my ankles not hurting but they have rust spots already. I would think the finish on sprengers would be better.
