My mare normally has really good feet and usually has to be trimmed every 4 weeks and farrier takes tonnes of foot off. She's been a bit 'strange' behind for a couple of weeks so has been off work whilst waiting for the back lady ( usually it's an si joint stiffness which a bit of pulling and pushing solves) but the farrier today says she's worn her feet down and they are shorter than they've ever been... what's the best supplement for horn growth as I'd rather not shoe unless it's necessary ( she can put on and inch of hoof in 4 weeks in the summer) .
She gets hi if lite and baileys local balancer and as much good quality haylege as she can stuff down her neck.( she drops weight over the winter but I avaoid hard feed as she heats up and gets silly)
